2nd Birthday Party

Our beautiful friends, Lori and her daughter Sasa.
Here is Seth so proud after he blew out his candle.
The party was at Chuck E. Cheese's and Seth had a blast playing on this big truck. As you can tell he is really getting into it.

Raffle-Way and you could win big

My blog friend, MckMama is hosting a truly amazing raffle-way with all proceeds going directly to a few truly deserving organizations. There is a tremendous prize package up for grabs with a Canon XSi digital SLR camera as the headliner. I personally would love to win this camera and all I have to do is donate, which is something I would do even if there weren't a prize package...I hope you feel the same. Please link to her blog using the Rebel for a Cause button on my sidebar to get all the information and see what all is included in the prize package.

Our neighbor, Leilah who is about a week older than Seth celebrated her 2nd birthday at Hillcrest. The kids got to ride the train as many times as they wanted and walk around the grounds and see all of the farm equipment. Leilah is the little girl with the bow in her hair coloring with Seth.

Halloween Fun

Seth dressed up as Peter Pan this year and as you can see he was as cute as ever! He really caught on to trick or treating this year and besides wanting to walk into every house we walked up to he did really good.

As you may or may not realize I am a faithful reader of the entertaining MckMama and her blog over at mycharmingkids.net. She is holding a contest that I for one would like to be part of, if you would like to find out the scoop hop over to her blog using this link.

Oh and believe me I realize that I should probably use the time I spend reading her blog to update my own blog...I will do that shortly, but right now I have got to address and mail Seth's birthday invitations!

Pumpkin Patch

For Seth's first visit to a pumpkin patch I took him to the Hill Crest pumpkin patch in Reedley. They had a train ride, a hiking trail, and a darling little pumpkin patch fit with child-size tractors. We didn't have to rush, so we stayed for a few hours and had a great time!

This past Saturday I participated in the 2008 Light the Night Walk for the Lukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is the second year that I have been the Team Captain for Team BP&F. My wonderful firm makes a generous donation and that along with my other fundraising efforts netted $1,800 this year!

BP&F Tailgate party

After walking around in piles of fertilzer all day I got to pick up Seth and spend the evening with him and my mom at my firm's annual tailgate event on the Fresno State campus. It was also my mom's 55th birthday...Happy Birthday, Mom! Hawaii beat us, but it was a good game and Seth seemed to really enjoy himself, charming the pants off everybody.

Big Boy bed

My baby is now ready for a big boy bed...that is if he wants to actually sleep in it instead of our bed, which I don't mind one bit. Yesterday we bought him a Backyardigans bed and put it next to our bed in our bedroom. My plan is to get him used to it before I beginning weening him (vacation is scheduled for the week of Oct. 27th to do this), so that he will feel comfortable. He was excited yesterday as we kept telling him it was his big boy bed and he actually slept in it for 10 whole minutes last night!

Mama's shoes

When we were leaving the house to head to Grandma's Seth insisted that he wear my shoes...by the time we made it to Grandma's he had fallen asleep, but the shoes were still on. My cat, Mama Kitty is getting old and required many tests this week as I could tell she just wasn't herself. You can see her in this picture...Seth loves when she rides with him in the car.

Disney LIVE!

This past week I took Seth to see the touring production of Disney LIVE! He enjoyed raising his arms in the air and blasting off with the Little Einsteins and stomping his feet while doing the hot dog dance. We went with my co-worker and her 2-year old son, Loghan...you can see him here giving some type of instructions to Seth.

Rocket pops

I bought these really cute popsicle molds that are the shape of rocket ships. I pureed some berries, yogurt, and a touch of sugar and made Seth some yummy popsicles, which as you can see he seems to love! Note Zoe trying to get in on some popsicle action.

What I didn't do...

Let's see...this past week I didn't leave a pile of dirty dishes in the sink because my hubby promised he would do them and I want to make a point...oh and I haven't continued this into this week because he STILL has not done them. Nope didn't do that.

I also didn't cry as I drove away from my son who was in his Grandma's arms crying "Mama" with his little bottom lipped puffed out, while at the same time not cursing at the fact that I have to leave him to go to a job.

If you want to check out the creator of "Not Me!" Monday check it out here.

Fun in August...

Here are a couple of pictures from August. I just love the look of sheer joy on his face as he was taking the petals off the rose bush and he loves to mow the lawn. We also went to Gilroy Gardens and had a blast on all the rides…this was his first time going on any ride by himself. He didn’t mind a bit.

July, after the fact

I thought I'd do a quick post with the highlights from last month. We went to Loghan's birthday party where Seth got a cape and balloon sword, Seth had a blast playing in the water when it was 105 out, then we were off to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, traveled to San Francisco where I had CPE for 3 days and Seth enjoyed playing with the phone in our hotel room, played in the water at Carson's (our 3 year old neighbor) birthday party, and just overall had a great time!
